Fuse Öresund Symposium

BEYOND BEST PRACTICE/Appreciating Site-Specific Qualities

The Beyond Best Practice symposium will provide a forum to discuss challenges and opportunities associated with urban harbour transformation.

The conceptual horizon of 21st century urban development continues to be defined by 20th century design and planning principles: eg. belief in masterplans predicated on a predictable future; metrics reflecting sectorial planning; best-practice models promoting generic solutions, etc. The symposium will explore how site-specific professional activity might help us go beyond the limitations of such habitual (“outdated”?) professional methods and mindsets.

Henrik Reeh, Martin Zerlang and Jacob Kreutzfeldt from Urban Culture Lab will participate in the symposium.
