Laura Watts is Visiting Professor at Center for Applied Ecological Thinking, author, and consultant. As an ‘ethnographer of futures’ and Science & Technology Studies (STS) scholar her research and writing explores the effect of ‘edge’ places on how the energy and tech future is imagined and made, and how it can be otherwise. She has spent the last fifteen years collaborating with renewable energy organisations and communities in Orkney, Scotland, and is currently writing on solarpunk speculative futures.
